The arrows from the orcs were very crude it was a wonder how they ever hit anything. It was no wonder orcs fired in groups as their arrows seemed hopeless to Tauriel.

Unfortunately there were no birds around, so she couldn't make new arrows and had to make do with the quivers of arrows she ransacked on the way to the barn.

Due to the quality of materials, none of them expected the weapons to last many battles, only to get them out of this area to Stronghold safely.

However, to get to a human habitation, they had to go through the army of orcs and break through to the city.

They may even have to try to win the battle for the humans otherwise there might be nowhere safe for them in this region.

They took another quick shower to clean themselves from their sweat then used the soot from the burned down parts of the farmhouse to cover their fair and flawless skin and even their hair. Tauriel’s orange hair was quite easy to spot in the darkness.

Samsara woke up several hours later and they helped him cover himself with soot. They couldn’t’ find any clothes that were not burnt, so they resigned themselves to continue being naked.

They cautiously entered the forest before daybreak and walked for around an hour before hitting into another large orc encampment. The encampment was large and completely blocked their way to Stronghold and they couldn't even see where the edges were to try to go around.

They knew that they would have to fight their way through and hide in another orc chief’s tent or two along the way as they could not go around it.

The reason they selected an orc chieftain’s tent is because their tents were the only ones that the other orcs dare not enter into without permission and the sun was starting to rise, so they couldn't hide in the darkness for much longer.

They approached a party of 5 orcs, the girls quietly killed them and dragged them into the bushes to hide them.

Keeping in contact through their mind link, they slowly made their way towards the front of the army, silently leaving a trail of dead orcs that they hid in bushes.

They've already killed more than 300 orcs since they began with only Mindy, however in an army of 20,000, that was nowhere near enough to change the tide of the battle.

And based on the information he got from mind reading the orcs, the human city of Stronghold were occupied by 2-3 million humans, but they only had less than 15,000 soldiers in their army.

They had only another 150 kilometers before arriving at the city in full force, and the orcs are slowly conquering the human lands day by day, killing everyone and everything in their way.

He knew their task is to weaken the orc army, even defeat it if possible. However, with an army of 20,000 to kill, they definitely couldn't kill them all.

But he could strengthen his team while weakening the orc army by killing off the leadership and creating more of his deadly familiars.

The most troubling thing Samsara discovered from scanning the minds of the orcs was that they were not led by an orc king or single orc leader.

Instead they appeared to be led by a force that was controlling orcs, goblins and other dark forces. From reading the minds of the orcs, the other races were even scarier than they were, including dark elves and perhaps worse, demons.

That was indeed troubling, as apparently the humans had no idea that such a large scale attack was coming as the forces were coming from the south, where they were, like locusts devouring everything in their path, not allowing any warning to go to the humans.

Slowly but cautiously they slaughtered their way towards Stronghold. As the orcs were also marching that direction, they were actually attacking from behind, catching many of them completely by surprise.

The girls were extremely efficient in slitting throats silently while completely efficient, each orc barely took a second to kill each. Samsara marveled at their ruthlessness.

Finally they found a chieftain’s encampment of the usual outer defensive camp perimeter and inner camp, just as the first light started to penetrate the forest.
